Freeport....

After we left Nassau on Day 3 we had a "Fun Day at Sea" before we were able to go back to Freeport, but we finally made it to our first port of call. Freeport also aloud us to finally put our little feet into some sand and water. We discovered some coconuts on the beach and were able to try/drink/eat them right there on the beach. I hope everyone is having a fabulous week (and only 2 days till Hunger Games!!!!!).

Let's Go Camping.....

Last weekend a group of us participated in State's long standing tradition of camping out for UNC vs. NCSU basketball tickets. The night consisted of 5 checkpoints in which you had to make 4, and yes it was raining for the first half of the night. We all had so much fun, and I even managed to get a few hours of sleep. Below are a few pictures from the night. I hope everyone has a blessed and stress-free week!!!

Study Study Study......

The last few weeks have been busy! Yes, classes just started and school really hasn't gotten crazy yet, but in exactly 1 week I will be taking my first actuary exam!! All my free time has been spent studying usually 4 to 6 hours a day in preparation for this exam.

The exam I am taking is called Exam P, for probability exam. This exam will hopefully be my first step in becoming an actuary....so what is an actuary you ask. In the shortest answer possibly an actuary evaluates risk, such as insurance models for health or car insurance, they help companies establish retirement funds, and help banks and companies manage financial risks. The next week is sure to be crazy with classes, homework, work, campout, and studying. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!!

Happy New Year....

Today is the beginning of a new year, and after the incredible year of growth and change that 2011 brought I look forward to the amazing adventure God has in store for me in the coming year. Also, like most people I have a few resolutions and goals I would like to accomplish in 2012. So here it goes:

1. Finish reading the entire Bible
2. Sit for my first Actuary exam
3. Run in the Krispy Kreme Challenge
4. Read 12 books for leisure
5. Go on a cruise with some amazing friends :)
6. Get a summer internship
7. Blog more
8. Get and STAY more organized
9. Eat healthier and exercise more (just like the rest of the country)
10. Cook one meal or dessert for a friend a month

I hope everyone had a amazing 2011, and I pray everyone has a blessed and happy 2012. So as I begin my new year resolutions I hope everyone remembers:

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Mathew 19:26
